Serge Mayer grew up in Claremont, California. He became interested in Architecture in high school where he started his first drafting class. He won his first design competition during high school for the school’s new computer lab.
Serge graduated in the top few of his class, Magna Cum Laude from Cal Poly Pomona, with a professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Serge worked under the tutelage of the famous Steven Phillips Architect of Laguna Hills. While working with Steven Phillips, Serge worked on some of the biggest and most extravagant private homes in southern California.
Serge is now Licensed as an architect in California and Utah and is “legacy LEED AP” Certified.
Serge is well versed in various architectural styles but becomes particularly excited when he gets to design a Craftsman. Serge has a unique work history that has made him a well rounded designer. He adds to his architectural studies and experience almost 20 years of civil engineering and surveying experience. His work in civil engineering has made him particularly valuable on projects involving difficult site conditions.
Serge believes in working hard and playing hard. He is licensed as a commercial drone pilot, is an Eagle Scout, he loves to design and work with his hands in various mediums, including furniture, pottery and art. He enjoys going camping with his family in their restored 1970 Airstream travel trailer. He loves his country, and believes in becoming involved in his local community, where he is currently serving on the Upland City Planning Commission.
